Michelle is a freelance sports journalist who recently completed her master's degree from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. Covering the Olympics, baseball and college football this summer, her work has appeared in USA TODAY Sports and VICE Sports, among others. She also covered the 2016 Republican National Convention in Cleveland for USA TODAY, reporting on various protests and unique delegates.

Originally from Detroit, she has been in Washington, D.C. for four years, with a brief stint in Chicago for six months during her master's program. She enjoys Sriracha hot sauce and has been a vegetarian for a decade but respects your right to bacon.
